Copywriting

Copywriting was my principal occupation for a time back in the 1980s and early ’90s, during which I freelanced for a number of small ad agencies and design studios, mostly in the southern New England area, as well as working on the staff of one in a suburb of Hartford, Conn., before the Internet altered the nature of that business (as it did so many others). So if the sample ads I wrote (below) appear to be a bit dated, that’s because they are. But should the need arise, I can still come up with “Ideas That Fly” (which was a name I created for Pratt & Whitney, the aircraft engine manufacturer, to go with their employee suggestion program, along with the slogan “They can hit you from out of the blue”).
